On July 1, 2025, Disneyland Paris celebrated the successful completion of the first phase of a pilot program for women-led businesses in France. Partnering with WEConnect International and Envi School, the initiative supports female entrepreneurs in growing their companies. A special ceremony in the heart of the resort honored the participants’ achievements.
Celebration at the Mickey Mouse Statue
At the entrance to the theme park, many of the 40 female entrepreneurs who completed their training gathered for a memorable moment. A group photo in front of the Mickey Mouse statue captured their shared journey and commitment to success. The afternoon was filled with inspiring discussions, personal stories, and meaningful exchanges about women in entrepreneurship, highlighting the program’s impact.
Ceremony with Certificate Presentation
The event kicked off with speeches from Sabine Boulinguez, Vice President of Sourcing & Procurement at Disneyland Paris, Elizabeth Vazquez, President, CEO, and Co-Founder of WEConnect International, and Charlotte de Charentenay and Catherine Barba, Co-Founders of Envi School. Members of the Disneyland Paris team joined to connect with the entrepreneurs. A highlight was the presentation of certificates to the 40 participants, marking the completion of the first phase. The women then reflected on their progress and the program’s role in advancing their business goals.
Program to Empower Female Entrepreneurs
Launched in January 2025, the program helps French female entrepreneurs develop their small and medium-sized enterprises. Led by WEConnect International in collaboration with Disneyland Paris and Envi School, it consists of two phases. The first phase, a training program with Envi School, began in January and recently concluded. The second phase, a mentoring program with Disneyland Paris executives, will start in fall 2025. Natacha Rafalski, Présidente of Disneyland Paris, stated: “We are thrilled about the launch of this pilot program, the result of a valuable collaboration with WEConnect International and Envi School, showing how vital it is to join forces to drive meaningful change.”
Inclusion and Innovation in the Supply Chain
Disneyland Paris promotes innovation and inclusion by integrating women-led businesses into its supply chain. The initiative aims to create exceptional guest experiences while delivering positive social and economic impacts. By supporting small and medium-sized enterprises led by women, the resort leverages its supply chain as a catalyst for sustainable success, reinforcing the critical role of these businesses in driving innovation.
