Efteling Summer 2025: New Shows & Extended Hours

Efteling, the enchanting theme park in the Netherlands, will welcome visitors with extended hours and a vibrant summer program in 2025. From July 4 to August 31, guests of all ages will enjoy new shows, lively entertainment, and magical moments in the Sprookjesbos and beyond.

New Shows for Summer Fun

In the open-air theater of the Sprookjesbos, or Fairytale Forest, a new Sprookjesboomshow will debut. The forest’s inhabitants tackle the summer heat with humor, delighting families and friends. Also premiering in the Fairytale Forest is “Avond met Ezel,” a musical one-man show starring the Donkey, brimming with wit and charm. Both performances are included in park admission, promising unforgettable experiences.

Extended Hours for More Magic

From July 4 through mid-August, Efteling will stay open daily until 10:00 PM, and until 9:00 PM during the last two weeks of August. Evening tickets, priced at 31.00 euros per person, grant access from 5:00 PM until closing. Regular day tickets, costing 53.00 euros, allow entry from 10:00 AM, with flexible Albert Heijn tickets also available. This schedule lets visitors soak in romantic sunsets and illuminated attractions into the night.

Vibrant Park Entertainment

Iconic park characters enhance the summer experience. Elves from the Droomvlucht attraction appear on the plaza outside, offering chances for photos or brief pauses. The Djinn from Fata Morgana steps out to captivate guests. Live music fills various spots, and the Efteling Zomerstrand invites relaxation with summery treats. Thrills await on the Python looping coaster, while picnics or sunny street cafés provide tasty breaks.

Free Park Shows for Everyone

Beyond the new shows, the program includes additional highlights covered by admission. The Jokie en Jet show entertains young visitors, and the Anton Pieckplein puppet theater charms with its heartfelt performances. The live act “Der Märchensammler” weaves captivating tales, while meet-and-greets with characters like Pardoes the Wizard or the Huyveraars create special moments. Raveleijn showcases brave riders, and Aquanura, Europe’s largest water show, dazzles with its stunning display.

Fairytale Accommodations

For an extended stay, guests can choose from the Efteling Wonder Hotel, the Bosrijk or Loonsche Land holiday parks, or the new Efteling Grand Hotel, opening on August 1, 2025. These options allow visitors to immerse themselves in Efteling’s magic over multiple days, exploring the park’s imaginative corners at leisure.
