Celebratory Highlights of 2023

The year 2023 was a special one for Familypark, marked by its 55th anniversary and the 10th anniversary of its popular roller coaster, Rattenmühle. To celebrate these milestones, the park hosted a spectacular four-day event from June 8 to 11. The program included performances by OKIDOKI stars from ORF, interactive walk acts, caricature artists, and creative crafting stations. A special highlight was the exclusive anniversary dinner with park mascots Filippo, Biene Maja, and Willi, delighting the guests.

Weather Challenges and Record Attendance

The spring season presented weather challenges, but it didn't dampen the success of the summer. Particularly in September, the park experienced an historic surge in visitors, with over 90,000 guests. In total, Familypark welcomed about 650,000 visitors during the season, a third of whom were international guests.

Halloween at Familypark: A Spooky Success

The Halloween celebrations at Familypark, now in their 10th year, have evolved into one of the largest events of its kind in Austria. This year's twelve-day event attracted approximately 80,000 visitors, who were enthralled by the eerie Vampire Nights.

Economic Successes and Outlook

Despite initial weather-related challenges, Familypark achieved an impressive turnover of 26 million Euros in the fiscal year 2022/2023. This positive development reflects the park's appeal and dedication.

For 2024, Familypark is planning exciting new features. One of the main attractions will be the Wild Swing from Swiss manufacturer ART Engineering, enhancing the Adventure Castle theme area. The Oldtimer Convoy is being redesigned and will find its place in the revamped Fairy Tale Forest.

Summary and Outlook

Familypark St. Margarethen has successfully concluded its 56th season, looking back on a year filled with anniversaries, record attendances, and special events. With planned new features and attractions, the park sets high expectations for the upcoming 2024 season, promising its visitors unique experiences. The park remains a must-visit for families and amusement park enthusiasts, solidifying its position as a top destination in Burgenland.
