LEGOLAND® Billund in Denmark will launch the Minifigure Speedway in 2026, a thrilling family roller coaster featuring dueling trains. Guests choose between Team Legends, led by Corn Cob Guy, or Team All Stars, led by Banana Guy, racing forward and backward. A 9-meter-tall Roxie minifigure will be a striking landmark.
Minifigure Speedway: Thrilling Family Duel
Starting in the 2026 season, the Minifigure Speedway will immerse families in an exciting racing adventure at LEGOLAND® Billund. The roller coaster features two trains racing side by side, moving forward and backward to determine a winning team. Guests decide to join Team Legends, led by Corn Cob Guy, or Team All Stars, led by Banana Guy. Each captain champions their preferred fuel: popcorn for Legends or banana juice for All Stars. This playful rivalry fuels an engaging storyline that captivates guests from the queue to the finish line. “The dueling element makes Minifigure Speedway unique among roller coasters,” says Michael Ottesen, Director of LEGOLAND Billund. The unpredictable outcome heightens the excitement, as no one knows which team will cross the finish line first.
Roxie: Towering Minifigure Landmark
A 9-meter-tall minifigure of the legendary racer Roxie will stand in front of the roller coaster, ranking among the world’s largest minifigures. Representing a celebrated Speedway champion, Roxie wears the colors of both teams, cheering for Legends and All Stars alike as a symbolic host. Her towering presence will catch the eye of park visitors and travelers near Billund Airport. “The Roxie minifigure will enhance the entire Minifigure Speedway universe,” notes Michael Ottesen. The statue offers a perfect photo opportunity and will define the area from afar. Having retired from racing, Roxie passionately supports both teams, embodying the spirit of the competition.
Prime Park Location
The Minifigure Speedway will be built between Knights’ Kingdom and Adventure Land, standing nearly 17 meters tall. Its central location and intricate LEGO® theming make it a standout feature in the park. The design of the trains and surrounding area reflects the iconic LEGO® aesthetic, seamlessly blending with the environment to enhance the visitor experience.
Construction Underway for 2026
Construction for the Minifigure Speedway and the Roxie statue is already in progress. When the park opens in 2026, guests will experience this high-energy duel. The attraction promises thrills and a narrative that draws families into the world of LEGO® racing.
