As the first Signature Dining experience at Walt Disney World Resort, it has captivated guests since 1995 with innovative cuisine, exceptional wines, and a stunning view of Magic Kingdom Park. For the occasion, beloved dishes and drinks have returned for a limited time.
A Milestone in Disney Dining
Perched on the 15th floor of Disney’s Contemporary Resort, the California Grill celebrates three decades as a pioneer of Signature Dining at Walt Disney World Resort. Since opening in 1995, the restaurant has drawn guests with its market-inspired cuisine, renowned wines, and breathtaking views of Magic Kingdom Park and Seven Seas Lagoon. Chef de Cuisine Matthew Birch reflects on this milestone: “The menu has evolved continuously, yet stays true to its roots by showcasing seasonal ingredients with care.”
Return of Fan-Favorite Dishes
To mark its 30th anniversary, the California Grill reintroduced select dishes and drinks that have resonated with guests, starting on May 15, 2025. These items, marked with a ㉚ on the menu, will remain available until May 2026. Guests can savor the Sonoma Goat Cheese Ravioli with organic mushrooms and tomato-fennel broth, the Grilled Pork Tenderloin with goat cheese polenta and zinfandel glaze, and the Blueberry-Goat Cheese Cheesecake with blueberry meringue and raspberry coulis. The drink “The Monterey” also makes a nostalgic return.
