Changes in the Theme Park Portfolio
With the onset of the new season, Movie Park Germany says goodbye to two of its attractions. “Back at the Barnyard Bumpers,” a staple of the children's area in Nickland since 2008, and “Pier Patrol Jet-Ski,” a popular water attraction since 2007, will no longer be part of the park's offerings. This decision reflects the park's commitment to continuously update and optimize its experience offerings.
Reasons for the Changes
The removal of the “Pier Patrol Jet-Ski” stems from the increasingly complex requirements for technical maintenance and difficulties in procuring spare parts. The attraction, a product of the German manufacturer Zierer, has brought joy for many years, but the technical challenges have made continuation impractical.
Conversely, the decision to remove “Back at the Barnyard Bumpers” relates to a shift in visitor interest. The attraction was among the least frequented recently, while interest in meet-and-greets with the park mascots surged. In response, the area will be transformed into a covered stage, enabling the popular characters to be presented in any weather conditions.
