LEGO Festival 2025 Kicks Off at LEGOLAND Deutschland with Giant LEGO Heart

Starting May 3, 2025, LEGOLAND Deutschland in Günzburg turns into a wild, colorful explosion of fun. A massive heart, pieced together from 129,913 LEGO bricks, stands proud at the entrance, practically begging you to jump into the world’s first LEGO Festival. Five crazy zones—think creativity, music, dance, gaming, and chill vibes—wait to spark joy for families.

LEGO Festival Opens with a Symbol of Playful Joy

Come May 3, 2025, LEGOLAND Deutschland is where the party’s at. A 174 cm LEGO heart, built with 129,913 bricks over 650 hours, greets you right at the gate. It’s got a Bavarian minifigure rocking traditional gear, waving a pretzel, with Berlin’s Brandenburg Gate and Fernsehturm in the background. Awesome, right? This “I LOVE Play” creation is one of seven hearts popping up at LEGOLAND parks worldwide, from Billund to Windsor, for the first-ever global LEGO Festival. Model builders poured 4,500 hours and over 900,000 bricks into these bad boys, each one shouting out its local roots—ours with a big Bavarian hug.

Five Zones for Creative Family Fun

The festival’s included in your ticket, starting at 44 euros, and it’s packed with five zones that get kids and grown-ups grinning together. In the Gaming Zone, LEGO Fortnite fans go wild, building up the “Lost Isles” and high-fiving Schali, that yellow adventurer dude. The Music Zone cranks it up with the “Battle of the Bands” show—sneak backstage to meet the rockstars! Over in the Dance Zone, DJ GoodVibes drops killer beats while you bust your best moves. Got a crafty side? The Creative Zone, with LEGO Master Alec guiding you virtually, lets you whip up minifigure heads as cookies. And the Chill Out Zone? It’s like stumbling into a secret garden, all decked out with dazzling LEGO flower walls. For the tiny tots, Hopsy the red bunny steals the show in the LEGO DUPLO zone, perfect for preschoolers.

A Celebration of the Power of Play

This LEGO Festival, timed with World Play Day on June 11, is all about rediscovering playtime. Studies say 76% of parents think kids are missing out on fun these days. “We’ve thrown our whole hearts into this, crafting an experience that’ll leave families buzzing,” says Manuela Stone, the big boss at LEGOLAND Deutschland Resort. Snap a selfie with the “I LOVE Play” heart, sling on your festival lanyard, and dive in. It’s about getting creative, boosting confidence, and learning through pure, unfiltered fun. Total game-changer.

Global LEGO Hearts Connect the World

Seven LEGO hearts are lighting up LEGOLAND parks across the globe, each one a love note to its home turf. A global crew of model builders poured their souls into them, and our Bavarian heart in LEGOLAND Deutschland is all about traditional vibes—think lederhosen, pretzels, and German landmarks. Every brick tells a story, linking parks worldwide in one big, playful high-five. Here in Günzburg, this heart’s your ticket to a day of pure imagination.
