From May 3 to June 22, 2025, LEGOLAND Deutschland Resort in Günzburg will host the new LEGO Festival. Centered around World Play Day on June 11, this family-friendly event features five interactive zones promoting creativity, music, and gaming. Admission to the festival is included in the regular park entry, starting at 44 euros.
A Celebration of Shared Play
The LEGO Festival at LEGOLAND Deutschland Resort aims to inspire more family playtime. A survey reveals that 76% of parents believe children today lack sufficient time and space for play, yet play is vital for fostering creativity, social skills, and confidence. From May 3 to June 22, 2025, the park will transform into a vibrant playground with five themed zones: Music, Dance, Creative, Chill Out, and Gaming. Visitors can commit to the “Play Pact,” a pledge to keep building, laughing, exploring, and never stopping play.
Gaming Zone: LEGO Fortnite Comes to Life
The Gaming Zone brings LEGO Fortnite into the real world. A standout feature is a life-sized model of the Fortnite character Cuddle Team Leader, crafted from over 21,000 LEGO bricks in more than 75 hours by Master Model Builders. Fans can expand the Lost Isles with their own unique creations and meet the iconic LEGO Fortnite character Adventure Peely in person. This zone blends digital gaming with hands-on building to spark imagination.
Music Zone: Rock Out with the Band
The Music Zone delivers high-energy vibes with the LEGO Battle of the Bands Show. Guests gain all-areas access and the chance to meet the band. Seven new LEGO characters add interactive fun, creating joyful moments and lasting memories for families.
Dance Zone: Groove and Build Mosaics
In the Dance Zone, the DJ Good Vibes Dance Party invites guests to move to trendy beats. As they dance, a LEGO mosaic takes shape brick by brick. This zone combines physical activity with creative building for an engaging family experience.
Creative Zone: Craft with a LEGO Master
Guided virtually by LEGO Master Model Builder Alec, visitors in the Creative Zone can design creations like cookies shaped as LEGO Minifigure heads. This zone encourages imagination through hands-on building adventures tailored to spark creativity.
Chill Out Zone: Relax as a Family
The Chill Out Zone offers a hidden LEGO garden adorned with colorful flower walls. Families can build LEGO flowers together, contributing to ever-growing floral displays. For preschoolers, a LEGO DUPLO show featuring the friendly red bunny Hopsy provides age-appropriate fun.
Global Festival with a New TV Spot
The LEGO Festival will take place across seven LEGOLAND Resorts worldwide, including LEGOLAND Billund, California, Florida, Korea, New York, and Windsor. A new TV spot supports the campaign, depicting a young girl harnessing imagination to create unforgettable memories with her parents. Emily Stadelman, Global Brand Director LEGOLAND Parks, states: “We’re elevating play to new heights and unleashing imagination. We’re thrilled to deliver this ultimate building experience across seven LEGOLAND Resorts, where thousands of children and parents celebrate shared play.” Rebecca Snell, Senior VP LEGOLAND Brand, adds: “We empower kids to build and play as they wish, a vision clearly reflected in the LEGO Festival marketing campaign.”
