On its 50th anniversary, Europa-Park, Germany’s largest theme park, unveils a new attraction. The art installation “Europa – Garten der Sterne” by Ottmar Hörl was inaugurated on Europatag. Featuring 100 golden stars, it symbolizes the European ideal and invites visitors to reflect on Europe’s shared values.
A New Attraction for Europe
The “Europa – Garten der Sterne” installation comprises 100 golden stars positioned next to the historic Schloss Balthasar. Renowned artist Ottmar Hörl created this work to mark Europa-Park’s 50th anniversary. The ceremonial unveiling took place on Europatag, attended by the Mack family, the park’s owners, the artist, and former EU Commissioner Günther Oettinger. In 2021, Hörl had already captivated visitors with a large-scale “Europa” installation at the park.
A Gift for the 50th Anniversary
Europa-Park in Rust celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2025. This new installation is a highlight of the milestone year, reinforcing the park’s European identity.
