On April 25th, twelve students gained insight into careers often deemed atypical for their gender at Europa-Park. This event took place during Girls & Boys Day under the motto “Trying is better than studying.”

A Day Full of New Experiences

The Girls & Boys Day at Europa-Park provided the youths with a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various professions. At Germany's largest amusement park and the adjoining water world Rulantica, they explored areas such as event technology, the decoration department, warehousing, building services, and painting. This allowed them to discover professions that are traditionally not associated with their gender.

Participants from near and far

The young interns, aged between eleven and fourteen, came not only from the immediate vicinity of the park. Youngsters from further cities like Heidelberg and Mainz also seized the opportunity to look behind the scenes of the amusement park. This indicates the attractiveness of such events for young people and the importance of Europa-Park in both regional and broader educational landscapes.

The Significance of Girls & Boys Day

Girls & Boys Day is more than just an open house day. It is a significant educational initiative aimed at breaking down gender stereotypes in career choices and bringing the diversity of the professional world closer to young people. Such initiatives are crucial for addressing the skilled labor shortage in certain industries and for inspiring young talents to consider less traditional career paths early on.
