Inspired by Croatia: A Scenery with a Story

The Voltron Nevera winds through a meticulously crafted Croatian landscape, marked by artificial rocks, ancient facades, and detailed decorations. But behind this impressive backdrop is more than mere aesthetics. It's the product of intensive field research and close collaboration between Universal Rocks and Europa-Park.

Represented by Dirk Engelhardt, Universal Rocks specializes in the art of rock and facade design. The company employs advanced shotcrete techniques to create realistic rock structures and facades that are both visually appealing and thematically accurate.

Engelhardt and Michael Mack, a representative from Europa-Park, personally traveled to Croatia. Their aim was to capture the subtle nuances of the country's Romanesque architectural style and ensure Voltron Nevera's setting was authentic and culturally sound.

The Craftsmanship Behind the Technology

While the design of the scenery might seem driven by technology, it is craftsmanship that brings it to life. After the shotcrete is applied using specialized machines, it is then meticulously shaped by hand. Artisans, including stonemasons and sculptors, give the concrete form and texture, replicating realistic rocks and facades.

Engelhardt stresses the importance of this artisanal aspect: "Every detail is handcrafted. This results in an authentic and natural look, which cannot be achieved with machine-made elements."

Concurrent with the rock and facade design, the Europa-Park Experience Resort's landscapers are also at work, enriching the surroundings with trees, shrubs, and grass. The result is a harmonious blend of nature and man-made structures.

A Holistic Experience

Voltron Nevera is more than just another roller coaster at Europa-Park. It embodies the park's philosophy of merging innovative technology with traditional craftsmanship, offering visitors a comprehensive experience.

The Artificial Rockwork of Voltron Nevera is not just a testament to Universal Rocks' capabilities but also a testament to Europa-Park's vision. It demonstrates that the park is constantly striving to evolve its attractions both technologically and thematically.

All in all, Voltron Nevera stands as a prime example of how modern technology and traditional craftsmanship can be merged to create an experience that is both exhilarating and culturally enriching. A ride is not just a thrilling journey but also an exploration into Croatian history and culture.
